Advertisements and advocacies may easily be conveyed through our unique digitized headshots, online profile photos can be potential online billboards. Its major components are: registration, mass shooting, and mass uploading on social network web sites (as profile photo), which make HSC an effective and creative marketing tool. HSC creates curiosity and impact to those who are not yet aware or part of it. It's viral — the HSC phenomenon can attract anyone online.
HSC a new way to advertise online
Taking advantage of one of netizen’s favorite pastime online “Vanity” we make use of everyone’s wanting to have good quality profile photos online a way to advertise for brands or advocacy campaigns. HSC series’ are sponsored by a brand or company, which entitles them to have their logo appear on the headshot or Facebook timeline cover on the series that they have sponsored. A series usually has a minimum of 50 headshots and can go to hundreds per series.
Project Headshot Clinic or HSC started in December of 2006 by photographer Niccolo Cosme. What started as a germ of an idea out of curiosity on how profile photos online can be a great marketing tool bloomed and has taken Niccolo and his team around the Philippines and it’s neighboring countries uplifting the importance of a great profile photo online and the idea that messages can be conveyed through it. The first branded and free for public series started the year after in 2007 by a prominent TV network and the first foreign country to ever acquire a branded series is Vietnam for a yogurt drink, it was held in Saigon and Hanoi and had a total of 400 headshots in total. The most number of headshots in a series is from a Telecom company in the Philippines with about 1,900 headshots taken in 4 major cities.
